The Blaser CDP 7×65 R is a premium hunting cartridge designed specifically for break-action rifles, kipplauf rifles and combination guns. It is loaded with a 10.0 g (154 gr) CDP (Controlled Deformation Projectile) bullet that delivers controlled expansion, high weight retention and deep penetration, making it ideal for roe deer, wild boar, red deer, moose and other large game.

The CDP bullet features a dual-core design. Upon impact, the front section expands symmetrically into four petals while the rear core retains most of its weight, ensuring excellent penetration, reliable stopping power and minimal meat damage. Field testing showed that 94% of harvested game exhibited very low meat damage and 78% travelled less than 20 metres after the shot.
