Shimano Kairiki G5 is a sinking 5-strand braided fishing line designed to reduce the effects of wind and current while providing more direct contact with the lure or rig.

Its construction combines four Japanese PE braid strands with an additional high-density sinking core fibre. This allows the line to cut through the surface tension of the water and sink slowly, rather than remaining on the surface like conventional PE braid.

Shimano's VT Construction Method brings the fibres together under constant, even multi-angle tension. This creates a compact, rounder profile with a smooth finish, good sensitivity and excellent casting characteristics.

Kairiki G5 is particularly suitable for deep-running lures and jigging, as well as carp and feeder fishing. Its sinking characteristics help reduce unwanted line bow caused by wind and surface currents.
