Аргон - инертный газ, поэтому он лучше других газов сохраняет внутренние покрытия, прокладки и герметики в неизменном состоянии. А его крупные молекулы (в 2 раза больше чем у азота) исключают иcтечение газа из прицела сквозь соединения.
