Measuring cartridge lengths across the bullet tips is not a reliable (or repeatable) method for measuring your loaded rounds. It is not uncommon for variations of up to .025" to exist from one round to the next when measured across the bullet tips. Bullet tips vary considerably due to the way in which bullets are made. Hornady's Bullet Comparator solves that problem by measuring your rounds from a reliable surface on the bullet – the ogive – to provide consistent, precise measurements of your rounds. The Bullet Comparator is also used by many shooters to check uniformity of bullets – from base to ogive – which is critical to accuracy. 

When used in conjunction with the OAL Gauge, the Bullet Comparator provides the ultimate in precision measurement. The Bullet Comparator will properly align the OAL Gauge for proper, precise measurement using your caliper. This method allows direct comparison of your loads as you set up your bullet seating die for the correct bullet free-travel (jump).

The Hornady Match Grade 2-Die Set is a great die set fo r the avid reloader. This die set includes a Custom Grade New Dimension (CGND) Full Length Sizer Die and a CGND Seating Die. The Full Length Sizer Die features a Zip Spindle, with a series of light threads cut on the spindle and spindle collet.   

Thanks to the unique way the case is locked in place in the shell holder, all trim lengths are accurately measured from the base of the cartridge, with no variation due to rim thickness, etc. You get the same trim length every time. Max trim-to length is 3.4 inches.

RCBS® has improved upon even the basic plastic funnel. It features a specially designed drop tube to avoid any messy powder spills around case mouths, a non-stick, anti-static surface, and a square lip to keep the funnel from rolling around. Spout will accommodate the WSM family of cartridges.
