Optilock bases and rings are machined from a solid block of steel, Cr-Mo alloy or stainless, just like our rifles. The front bases have a solid angled left side and a similarly angled right side with a clamping device. This base design connected to Sako rifle´s integral dovetail rail allows you to adjust the horizontal position of the scope objective end without touching the scope adjustment.

Leupold's steel Dual Dovetail bases and rings are one of our strongest mount systems, designed for large caliber rifles with high recoils. The twist-and-lock action of the rings ensures a strong connection with the one or two-piece base. 

The rings are made of steel and have concave inner surfaces. Four  special screws evenly support the upper ring unit. Solid steel base fits the receiver perfectly for guaranteed accuracy. Co polymer rings surround the scope tube and evenly distribute the clasping force. Steel rings are fastened to the base from below.
